When you must set up two-step sign-in first

Why the system asks you to protect your account before you can work, and how to finish the setup in about a minute.

Screen guideUpdated

If your agency or the platform requires two-step sign-in and you have not set it up yet, you see the screen Hi …, let's protect your account instead of the app. You cannot open other screens until the setup is done. Customer trip pages and payment links still open as usual.

What you see

My account: profile, password, two-step sign-in and devices

  • The text Before you continue, set up two-step sign-in. It takes about a minute: you scan a code with your phone, then type the six digits it shows.
  • Why it is required, one or more of:
    • Your agency requires it for everyone
    • Your agency requires it for your role
    • Your manager turned it on for your account
    • The platform requires it for your agency
    • The platform requires it for every agency
  • Three tiles: Your phone (With an authenticator app), Scan once (Then type the code) and Save 10 codes (In case you lose the phone).
  • Set it up now starts the setup. Sign out at the top signs you out.

Steps

  1. Install an authenticator app on your phone if you do not have one (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or 1Password).
  2. Press Set it up now, scan the QR code and press I scanned it.
  3. Type the six-digit code and press Turn on.
  4. Save the 10 recovery codes, tick I saved my recovery codes somewhere safe and press Continue to the app.

The app opens straight away. You do not need to sign in again.

Note

Until the setup is finished, you cannot change anything else. Trying to edit your details shows Set up two-step sign-in to continue.

Details of each step are in Set up two-step sign-in.
