Share the customer's trip page

Copy, open or replace the private link where the customer sees their trip, pays the balance and gets their documents.

How toUpdated

Every booking gets its own customer trip page when it is made. On it the customer sees the trip, the flights, the hotel and the travellers, pays the balance online and downloads or sends documents. Share the link when the customer asks where to find their trip.

Before you start

  • Anyone who can see the booking can copy and open the link. Making a new link needs permission to edit bookings.
  • The page asks the customer for a one-time code, sent to their mobile or email, before it shows anything (unless your agency turned the code off). Check that the customer's mobile or email is right.
  1. Open the booking. Find the Customer trip page panel on the side: "The customer sees the trip, pays and downloads documents here, after a one-time code."
  2. Press Copy. The message Trip page link copied appears. You can also use More actions → Copy trip page link.
  3. Paste the link in your message to the customer.
  4. To see what the customer sees, press Open. The page opens in a new tab and asks for the code like it does for the customer.

Tip

The booking confirmation and payment reminder templates can include the link for you. Send them from the Messages tab: Send messages and print the confirmation or voucher.

Make a new link when the old one went to the wrong person, or when it has expired.

  1. In the Customer trip page panel press New link, or use More actions → Make a new trip page link.
  2. Read Make a new trip page link? "The old link stops working at once."
  3. Press Make new link. To stop, press Cancel.

The message New trip page link copied appears and the new link is already copied. Send it to the customer.

After you share it

  • The link works until 60 days after the trip comes back. After that the customer sees This link has expired and is asked to contact you; make a new link.
  • The customer opens it, chooses where to receive the code and types it. The page then stays open on that browser for 30 days.
  • A link that was replaced stops working at once, even for a customer who already entered a code.

If something goes wrong

  • No link yet in the panel: the booking has no trip page link. Press New link to make one.
  • New link is missing: your role cannot edit bookings. Ask a colleague who can.
  • The customer does not receive the code: check their mobile and email on the customer record, and that the channel is connected in Settings → Connections.
