Delete a document
Remove a document filed by mistake, with its stored file, so the cell shows the document as missing again.
Delete a document when it was filed for the wrong traveller or the wrong type, or should not be kept. If you only need a newer version of the same document, use Replace file instead: it keeps the cell filled.
Before you start
- Deleting documents has its own permission. By default the owner, managers and operations have it; sales staff do not.
Steps
- Open Documents and choose the trip.
- Press the tick of the document you want to remove. Its menu opens with the file name.
- Choose Delete.
- The window Delete this document? shows the file name. Press Delete to confirm.
After you delete
- The message Document deleted appears. The cell shows Upload (or Missing) again, and the traveller loses Ready to fly if it was shown.
- The stored file is removed too, so it no longer counts toward your plan's storage.
- The booking's history records "… removed". The customer can no longer download the file from their trip page.
- The trip's readiness on Departures and the dashboard go down.
Warning
Deleting cannot be undone. If you need the file again, you must upload it again.
If something goes wrong
- Delete is not in the menu: your role cannot delete documents. Ask the agency owner or a manager.
- Document not found: someone else deleted it a moment ago. Reload the page.
