Tasks: common questions
Answers about dates in plain words, who sees which tasks, ticking without edit rights, deleted tasks and trip checklists.
Which date words can I type?
"tomorrow", "in 3 days", "next week", "friday", "25 Oct", and in Arabic «غداً»، «بعد 3 أيام»، «الأسبوع القادم»، «يوم الخميس». See Task statuses, priorities and due labels.
The @name picked the wrong person. Why?
It takes the first teammate whose English or Arabic name has a word that starts with what you typed. Type more letters, or change Assign to with Edit task.
Why do I only see my own tasks?
People who cannot manage tasks start on Mine. Choose Everyone to see the whole team, if your role allows.
I can tick tasks but cannot edit them. Why?
Your role can see tasks but not manage them. You can tick and reopen; editing, assigning and deleting show You can only tick tasks.
I deleted a task by mistake. Can I get it back?
Press Undo in the message straight away. After the message goes, the task cannot be brought back: add it again.
Do tasks send reminders?
No messages are sent. Overdue tasks show in coral with "Late since …" and are counted in the overdue chip on Tasks.
Why did a trip get tasks I did not add?
They come from your templates in Settings → Trip checklists, or the system added them. See Tasks the system creates for you.
