Change your password
Choose a new password in My account; your other devices are signed out at once.
Change your password when you think someone else may know it, or when you used it on another website. If you do not remember your current password, use Reset a forgotten password instead.
Steps
- Open My account from your name at the bottom of the menu.
- Under Password, type your Current password.
- Type the New password. Use at least 8 characters; a longer sentence is stronger and easier to remember.
- Type it again in New password again.
- Press Change password.
After you change it
- The message Password changed. Your other devices were signed out. appears.
- You stay signed in on this device. Every other browser and phone signed in with your account must sign in again with the new password.
- The change is written to the agency's audit log (without the password).
If something goes wrong
- Your current password is not right: check the keyboard language and Caps Lock, then type it again.
- Use at least 8 characters: the new password is too short.
- The two do not match: the two new passwords are different. Type them again.
