QuestionUpdated

What happens when an offer is used up?

It stops working for new bookings and its card shows Used up. Each booking made with the offer or its code counts one use, and when the count reaches Uses at most customers no longer see the offer and its code is refused with This offer has been fully used. To run it again, open it with Edit and raise Uses at most, or empty the field for no limit.

When exactly does an offer start and end?

It starts on its Starts day and runs until the end of its Last day. Without Starts it runs from the moment you save it; without Last day it runs until you switch it off or it is used up. Outside its dates the card shows Not in its dates and customers do not see it.

What does Code only mean?

The offer is hidden from customers' accounts: Show in the customer account is off. It still works for anyone who types its code when booking, as long as it is Running and the customer matches its groups, tags, trip and smallest group. Use it for codes you hand out yourself.

How is a promo code used when a customer books?

In their customer account the customer opens a trip, types the code under Promo code and presses Apply. The system checks the code and shows the discount in the price, or a message that says why the code does not work. An offer shown in the account can also be chosen with one tap, without typing a code. When the trip is booked Instant, the booking gets an "Offer: …" line with the discount and one use is counted. When the trip is On request, the request reaches you with the offer and the code in its note, so you can keep the discount when you confirm it.

Can my team type a promo code in New booking?

Yes. On the last step of New booking, type the customer's code in Promo code and press Apply. The summary shows the offer's line and its discount, or a message that says why the code does not work. The code counts one use when the booking is saved. The same checks apply as in the customer account. See Create a booking.

Who sees an offer that belongs to one branch?

On the Offers screen, an offer for one branch is seen and managed only by people who cover that branch; offers for All branches are seen by everyone who manages offers. Someone whose role covers only some branches makes offers for their own branch only. Which customers see an offer is set by Who sees it, Or customers tagged and the Trip.

An offer of one branch works only on bookings of that branch, in the customer account and in New booking; on another branch's trip its code is refused with This offer is for another branch. An offer for All branches works everywhere.

Does deleting an offer change past bookings?

No. Bookings that used it keep their discount. Deleting cannot be undone, so turn Active off instead if you may want the offer again.

Why does a customer not see my offer?

Check, in this order: the offer is Running; Show in the customer account is on; the customer is in one of the offer's groups or has one of its tags (or the offer has none); and the customer account is switched on in Settings → Customer portal and loyalty.
