Branches and who sees what
How a person's branch and the permission to see every branch decide which bookings, trips and payments they see.
If your agency has more than one branch, each person works in one of them: their home branch. People whose role can see every branch work across all of them; everyone else sees only their own branch's work.
The home branch
You set a person's branch under Branch when you invite them or with Edit on the Team tab. For a role limited to one branch the field is required. It decides:
- which branch's trips, bookings, payments and invoices they see, if their role is limited to one branch,
- which branch their new records belong to, unless they choose another one they are allowed to use.
Add and change the branches themselves in Settings → Branches: Branches.
Seeing every branch
The permission See and work in every branch (in the Admin group of the roles grid) lifts the limit. By default Owner, Manager and Finance have it.
These people get a branch switcher in the top bar when the agency has two or more active branches. It shows All branches or the branch shown now. Choose one branch to narrow the bookings, trips, payments, invoices and reports to it, or All branches to see everything again. The choice is remembered on that device.
Someone with one branch
A person without See and work in every branch, for example in Sales or Operations:
- sees only their own branch's trips, bookings, payments and invoices. Records that belong to no branch stay visible.
- creates new records in their own branch.
- has no branch switcher.
For example, a salesperson in the Riyadh branch does not see the bookings of the Jeddah branch, and cannot move a booking to Jeddah.
If they try to open or use another branch's work, they see You can only see your own branch or You can only work in your own branch.
Note
No own branch (sees every branch) is offered only for owners and roles with See and work in every branch. A person without that permission and without a branch sees no branch's work at all, and creating a record shows You have no branch yet. Ask an owner to choose your branch in Team. People in this situation before the change were given the agency's main branch, and when a role loses See and work in every branch, its people without a branch get the main branch too.
Changing what someone sees
- To let one person see every branch, give them a role that has See and work in every branch, or switch it on for their role: Roles and permissions explained.
- To move someone to another branch, change Branch with Edit: Change, disable or remove a team member. The change applies the next time their page loads.
