Set price options (variants)

Sell one trip at several prices, such as adult in a double room, adult in a triple room and child, and choose the default for each traveller type.

Use price options when the price depends on the traveller or the room: "Adult, double room", "Adult, triple room", "Child". Each option is one row in the trip's Prices table.

Before you start

  • You need permission to manage trips.
  • Traveller types (adult, child, infant) and room types come from Settings → Lists.

Steps

  1. Open the trip and press Edit (or start a new trip). Scroll to Prices.
  2. Press Add variant for each price you sell.
  3. In each row, type the Variant name in English (for example "Adult, double room") and the Variant name in Arabic.
  4. Choose the Traveller type and the Room type, or keep Any room.
  5. Type the Price per person.
  6. Press the Default dot on the option you offer first for each traveller type. Each traveller type has exactly one default.
  7. Leave Base price empty to use the default option's price, or type a fallback price.
  8. To remove a row, press Remove. Press Save changes.

Get a suggested price

  1. Type the Fixed costs (whole group: coach, guide) and the Cost per traveller (seat, room, visa).
  2. Check the Target margin. It starts from Settings → Preferences; a change here is not saved.
  3. The editor shows the Suggested price per person: the cost per traveller at the minimum group size, plus your margin. Press Use this price. The default option gets the suggested price, and empty options are filled from it using each traveller type's price factor. The message Suggested price set. Adjust the other variants if needed. appears.

After you save

  • A new booking prices each traveller type from its default option. When there are several adult options, the new-booking form shows a Price choice. See Create a booking.
  • The From price on the trip card is the cheapest option of the default option's traveller type.
  • A trip without options charges everyone the base price: Without variants, everyone pays the base price.
  • Bookings already made keep their price. A change applies to new bookings only.

If something goes wrong

  • Name it: an option has no English name.
  • Set a price before publishing: the base price and every option are zero. Give at least one a price.
  • Enter the costs to get a suggested price. or Set a target margin to get a suggested price.: fill those fields first.
