Trips: common questions

Answers about editing a published trip, prices after booking, adding seats, completed trips, infants and online booking.

QuestionUpdated

Can I edit a trip after it is published?

Yes. Press Edit, change what you need and press Save changes. Bookings already made keep their price. Once the trip has bookings, the selling branch and the price currency are fixed, and the seats for sale cannot go below the seats sold.

If I change the price, do existing bookings change?

No. The price is locked on each booking when it is confirmed. New prices apply to new bookings only.

How do I add more seats?

Press Edit and raise Seats for sale. If the trip was full, it opens for sale again at once.

Do infants take a seat?

Only when Settings → Preferences → Babies take a seat is on. Infants never count toward the minimum.

Why did my trip move to Completed?

A published trip is marked completed by itself once its return date has passed. Find it under Past or Completed.

Can I reopen a completed or cancelled trip?

No. Completed and cancelled are final: the system refuses any change of status. The trips stay in your records. To run the trip again, use Duplicate to a new date.

Why can't I see some trips?

Your role may be limited to some branches: you see the trips of your branches and the trips without a branch. Also check the filters: Upcoming hides trips that are already back.

How do customers book a trip themselves?

Open it for online booking in Settings → Customer portal and loyalty. See Let customers book a trip online.

Where do the destinations, airlines and documents in the editor come from?

From Settings → Lists. Add a city, an airline, a trip component or a document type there, and it appears in the editor.
